Over time, it is entirely natural for the teeth to darken. The outer layer of the tooth’s enamel is porous and can be easily penetrated by staining products. The natural aging process also contributes to the yellowing or dulling of the teeth. Regardless of how the teeth have been stained, many patients will find a solution with one of our Forked River professional teeth whitening treatments. We use Zoom® in-office whitening and KoR Whitening.
What is ZOOM® Teeth Whitening?
Zoom® teeth whitening is an in-office professional bleaching service provided by Drs. LouAnn Van Liew and Deborah Hoover. It utilizes a high concentration of peroxide gel applied to the teeth and activated with a special whitening light. Zoom® in-office power bleaching effectively breaks down staining and discoloration on the natural tooth enamel during a single appointment, allowing patients to brighten their smiles up to eight shades brighter in one day!
Our ZOOM® teeth whitening services are safe and effective at reducing staining and discoloration of the teeth. When administered by our Forked River cosmetic dentist, it does not cause any damage to the tooth, the enamel, or the nerves. Some patients might experience some sensitivity immediately after whitening, but this will resolve on its own and is not long-term.
How Long Will ZOOM Teeth Whitening Last?
Whitening the smile with the ZOOM® in-office power bleaching treatment will not permanently whiten the teeth. That is especially true in patients who continue to drink darkening beverages or participate in certain habits such as tobacco use. Patients can ask about having Zoom® whitening performed regularly to maintain their results over many years.
KöR Teeth Whitening in Forked River
We also offer KöR Whitening in our cosmetic dental office. KöR Whitening has been considered the world's most effective teeth whitening process available. Here at All About Smiles Dentistry, we utilize KöR Whitening for patients with deep stains and looking for the ultimate brightness. KöR is so powerful that it can even be effective on tetracycline stains.
KöR Whitening has some of the most impressive before and after cases. To view real patient results, view their before and after photos.
Who Is A Candidate?
The best candidate for ZOOM® in-office whitening and KöR Whitening are patients who do not currently have restorations such as veneers, crowns, or bridges, as these will not whiten with the teeth. Patients serious about whitening for life might want to replace these to match the newly whitened smile they plan to maintain. For those that want the deepest of teeth whitening, we typically recommend KöR.
Each patient must have a mouth free of cavities as well. Whitening cavities can further damage the teeth so we will need to repair these first.
